On the 3rd of September 2019, the European Network of Bioadhesion Expertise (CA15216) supported a stand-alone bioadhesion-focused session at Adhesion ’19, the 14th international triennial conference on the science and technology of adhesion and adhesives.  The session was held at ’We the Curious’ science centre in Bristol, UK, with Newcastle University acting as the Local Organiser.  18 presenters were supported by ENBA, including two international expert speakers travelling from the University of California Santa Barbara and the United States Naval Research Laboratory.  In addition to the eight oral presentations given, 10 posters were also presented with Patricia Alves from the University of Porto winning the prize for ‘best poster’ in the bio-session.  All poster presenters were given the opportunity to present a two-minute ‘pitch’ prior to the poster session, which proved to be very successful in encouraging participation.  In general, the session was an enormous success, receiving many enthusiastic comments from the SAA board members present and attracting a large audience including ‘regular’ meeting participants who moved over from the industrial adhesion parallel session.
